Description: special architectural Style Buildings
Near the northern entrance to the Suez Canal, this building was built, which is one of the landmarks of Port Said and is registered as an archaeological building among other buildings in the city and is operated by the Suez Canal Authority. This building was built in 1895 AD during the reign of Khedive Abbas Helmy II, and the implementation was carried out by a French company named Edmond Connier Contracting. The building came in the Islamic style, as we can see from the great dome in the middle of the building and the two small domes on its sides and the contracts in its facades and entrances, as well as the inscriptions and interior decorations on its walls On the roof of the building, one of the most important things he saw in this building was the raising of the Egyptian flag on it during the era of the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser after the nationalization of the canal and the final exit of the British from Egypt, as well as the ceremony of reopening the canal on June 5, 1975 AD, after the victory of October 1973 AD during the era of the late President Anwar Sadat.
