The restoration of the Digital Innovation Center in Kafr El-Sheikh, which is implemented by the Arab Contractors Company under the supervision of the Ministry to provide an integrated service to the youth of Kafr El-Sheikh, to link technological skills for future professions in communications sciences and information technology, and self-employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship skills. It is worth noting that the building was built by King Fouad I in the European style (Italian-French) in 1934 AD as a rest for him in Al-Fouadiya (Kafr El-Sheikh). It is constructed with a system of load-bearing walls, a roof, and reinforced concrete beams. The palace consists of a basement, ground floor, first floor, guard tower, and roof rooms. The total area of the floors is 685 m2. After the rehabilitation and restoration of the palace, it will include many meeting rooms, laboratories, offices for startup companies, and ITIDA business center. The palace includes many meticulous architectural restoration work, in addition to structural strengthening, electrical and light current work, air conditioning, and fire-fighting work. The work included the construction of two buildings next to the palace. The first building consists of a ground floor and two floors. The first floor is 890 m2 and includes a lecture hall, 4 laboratories, administrative offices, services, and monitoring and surveillance rooms. The total area of the second floor is 620 m2 and includes the manager office, a meeting room, administrative offices, and shared work spaces. The second building consists of a ground floor and two floors. The ground floor has an area of 950 m2 and includes a hall with a capacity of 112 people, the main electricity and light current rooms, the entrance hall, the cafeteria, services, NTI laboratories, the main control rooms, and rooms for faculty members and technicians.
