The Arab Contractors Company, Algeria Branch implemented the new expansions of the Pediatric Oncology Center at the University Hospital Center in Bab El Oued. The project included adding 40 beds for pediatric neurosurgery and 40 beds for pediatric surgeries. This comes within the framework of the Algerian President’s interest in supporting the medical system related to pediatrics. The company implemented this medical facility according to the highest specifications and quality standards. It includes 3 departments: pediatric oncology, pediatric surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery; with a total capacity of 140 beds. The hospital consists of 7 floors (basement, ground floor, and 5 typical floors) and covers an area of 8,000 m2. The total area of the technical buildings is 950 m2 for transformer chambers, generators, central air conditioning, and medical gases. The project contains 7 operating rooms, a radiology center, a specialized pharmacy, and the hospital contains all electromechanical systems (central air conditioning, low current systems, firefighting, and medical gases).
