Inauguration of Al Sa'aida Wastewater Station in Luxor

Eng. Abdel Mottaleb Emara - Governor of Luxor, inaugurated Al Sa'aida Wastewater Station project, which was implemented by the Arab Contractors Company as part of the integrated wastewater project in Al Zainiya, in the presence of Dr. Hesham Ahmed Abou Zeid - Deputy Governor, Mr. Ahmed Abo Aish - Head of Al Zainiya City and Center, Dr. Mohamed Al Emari – Parliament Member and Deputy of the Health Committee in the Parliament and Secretary of Mostaqbal Watan Party for Luxor Governorate, the governorate’s leaders, Major General Ahmed Ramadan - Chairman of Luxor Water and Wastewater Company, Eng. Ruqayya Hammad, Head of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Luxor, and representatives of the Authority’s Supervision in Luxor. They were welcomed by Eng. Amr Abdel Salam - Head of the Sector and Manager of the Red Sea Branch of the Arab Contractors, implementing the project; Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Elwany – Manager of Luxor and Esna Projects, and Eng. Wael Hagagi - Project Manager. Following the opening, the governor thanked the Arab Contractors Company for implementing the works with the required quality and completing them quickly within the specified deadlines. It is worth noting that the project operates at a capacity of 225 litres/second and consists of 5.6 km of gravity networks and a 1.5 km long force main that ends at Al Zainiya Bahri Station. It also includes buildings for the pumping, the warehouse, the transformers, and the generator. The main building (building for the pumping) contains 3 submersible pumps with a capacity of 40 horsepower, in addition to a backup pump that discharges 75 liters/second, a 200 KVA generator, and a security room. The project serves about 7,931 thousand people, and its cost reached about LE 110 million.
