Eng. Abdel Motaleb Emara - Luxor Governor, inaugurated Al Zainiya Wastewater Station, which serves about 20,000 people. This was in the presence of Dr. Hesham Ahmed Abu Zeid - Deputy Governor, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Adam - Secretary General of the Governorate- Colonel Ahmed Al Hawari - Head of Al Zainiya City, Eng. Rokaya Hammad - Head of the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater in Luxor, Eng. Yasser Mahsoub - Head of the South Valley and Red Sea Sector at the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Yasser Sadek - Head of the Sector and Manager of the Red Sea Branch implementing the works, and Eng. Khaled Al Gendy- Manager of Electromechanical Works at the Red Sea Branch.
Following the opening, Eng. Abdel Motaleb Emara - Luxor Governor, thanked the Arab Contractors Company for implementing the works according to the required quality and on time.
It is worth noting that the station consists of buildings for pumps, transformers, generators, an administrative building, a warehouse, a security room, as well as gravity networks with a length of 11.2 km, a 710 mm diameter HDPE force main with a length of 5.44 km, and (4) vertical pumps discharging 146 l/s with a lift of 22 meters, in addition to a generating unit with a capacity of 350 kVA, a 600 mm diameter pump discharge line, electrical panels, measuring devices, and a water hammer. The work cost reached LE 180 million.
