Aswan Governor discusses accelerating water and wastewater projects with Arab Contractors’ Senior Vice Chairman

Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal - Aswan Governor met with Eng. Hassan Mustafa - Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, in the presence of Eng. Amr Lashin - Deputy Governor, Major Gen. Yasser Abdel Shafi - Assistant Governor, Eng. Suzanne Metwally - Head of National Authority of Potable Water and Sewage in Aswan, Eng. Sayed Hassan – AC Executive Board Member, and Eng. Yasser Mahsoub - Head of South Valley and Red Sea Sector. During the meeting, Dr. Ismail Kamal praised the national and professional role of the Arab Contractors Company in supporting and implementing water and wastewater projects across the governorate. He emphasized that every completed project is a step towards improving living standards in various villages. The governor was keen to discuss several key topics, including reviewing the current implementation rates of water and wastewater projects under the presidential initiative "Decent Life" and other projects in several villages in Nasr Al Nuba and Kom Ombo. These villages include Masmas, Khrit 2, Ibrim, Al Manshiya, Al Ahmadiya, Al Kafour, and Al Raghama, where implementation rates ranged between 90% and 95%, with completion scheduled for mid-January. They explored the progress of the final septic line project for the Al Radisiya Qibli treatment plant, scheduled for completion by the end of February. Furthermore, the governor followed up on the implementation status of the wastewater project in the villages of Al Hurriya and Raouf in Kom Ombo to accelerate its completion according to the time schedule. He also directed the immediate commencement of work on the Al Kajog gravity line with a total length 800 m. The meeting also discussed increasing the implementation rates of Armana treatment plant in Nasr Al Nuba, where the implementation rate reached 70% for civil works, and 5% for electromechanical works.
