During his tour in Gharbia and within the framework of the periodic follow-up on the implementation of the different phases of the national project to develop the spinning and weaving industry, Eng. Mohamed Shimy - Minister of Public Business Sector, accompanied by Major General Ashraf El Gendy - Governor of Gharbia inspected the projects of the second and final phase of the development of El Mahalla Spinning and Weaving Company, which includes the Spinning Factory 6 implemented by the Arab Contractors Company, where they followed up the work progress and the installation of new machines, the implementation rates and reviewed the expected operation plans. This was in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Shaker - Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company for Spinning, Weaving & Clothing and Eng. Ahmed Badr – Executive Managing Director of Misr Spinning & Weaving.
The visit was attended by Eng. Hassan Moustafa - Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohamed Lasheen - Head of the Delta and Maritime Structures Sector, Eng. Sayed El Shahat - Manager of East and Central Delta Branch, Eng. Attia Mohamed El Sayed - Manager of the Electromechanical Projects Department for Public Buildings and Facilities, Eng. Mohamed Khalil- Manager of the Electrical Works Department, and Eng. Hamed El Bagoury - Project Manager.
The Minister and the accompanying delegation inspected the ongoing works at the factory, including testing and installation of suspended ceilings in the production hall and fiber-reinforced concrete floors. The factory covers an area of 20,000 m2, including a production hall with an area of 16,000 m2, including reinforced concrete humidification tunnels with a length of about 4,000 m, a metal structure, electromechanical works, and 2 service strips with an area of 4,000 m2, including 6 humidification stations and 6 administrative and service buildings.
This tour comes within the Ministry of Public Business Sector efforts to follow up on the implementation of the largest development plan witnessed by the spinning and weaving industry in Egypt, which includes merging and modernizing subsidiaries, achieving industrial integration between the different phases, and maximizing the utilization of assets.
