The Minister of Housing receives the Tanzanian Ambassador to discuss enhancing cooperation opportunities

Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, received at the Ministry of Housing headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Mr. Richard Mutayuba Makanzu, Ambassador of Tanzania to Egypt, in the presence of Eng. Heba Abu Al Ela - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Ahmed El Adalany – AC Board Member, to discuss enhancing cooperation opportunities and exploring the urban experience witnessed by the Egyptian state during the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. This was in the presence of officials from the Ministry and the Tanzanian Embassy in Cairo. Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny welcomed the Tanzanian Ambassador to Egypt and his accompanying delegation, stressing the Ministry's full readiness to continue sharing its extensive experience in the field of urban development and joint cooperation with our brothers in Tanzania, whether in the field of capacity building or participating in the implementation of new projects through Egyptian contracting companies, which have extensive experience in implementing various projects. A good example of this is Julius Nyerere Hydropower Plant and Dam in Tanzania, which has great interest from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The Minister of Housing emphasized that Egyptian contracting companies, both private and public, led by the Arab Contractors Company, have acquired extensive experience in implementing various urban development projects, whether in the production of various building materials, human resources capabilities, the volume of equipment, or highly trained workers. These companies have become capable of implementing various projects abroad, especially for our brothers in Africa. The Minister of Housing also expressed his aspiration for further cooperation opportunities between Egypt and Tanzania within the framework of the Ministry of Housing's work, stressing his readiness to provide full support to the Tanzanian side and share expertise through contracting companies and entities affiliated with the Ministry in all sectors. The Minister pointed out that Julius Nyerere Hydropower Plant and Dam on Rufiji River, being implemented through an Egyptian JV between Arab Contractors and Elsewedy Electric, is a historic cooperation project between Egypt and Tanzania, and one of the most important projects implemented by Egyptian companies for our brothers in Africa. For his part, H.E. Mr. Richard Mutayuba Makanzu expressed his pleasure at meeting with Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny - Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
