Beni Suef Governor inaugurates the trial operation of the wastewater project in the Western El Fant Village

As part of Beni Suef Governorate’s celebrations of its national day, Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim - Beni Suef Governor, inaugurated the trial operation of the wastewater project in the Western El Fant Village at a total cost of LE 30 million, which was implemented by the Arab Contractors Company as part of the General Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater ’s plan to extend wastewater services to the villages, as the project serves 13,750 people in Western El Fant Village as part of the national wastewater project for the villages of Beni Suef, and within the framework of the governmental development efforts. The opening was attended by Mr. Taha El Nazer - Member of Parliament, Eng. Atef Mahdi Badea - Head of the Executive Authority for Beni Suef Projects at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, Eng. Dina Omar Suleiman - Chairman of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, Eng. Yasser Sadek - Head of Assiut and North Upper Egypt Sector at the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Fattah Ahmed – Manager of North Upper Egypt Branch implementing the works, Eng. Mohamed Khaled Abu Sheneef – Manager of Beni Suef Projects, and Eng. Hamada Taha Abdel Ghani – Manager of the Southern Region. Following the opening, the governor praised the quality of the project implementation, which includes a 66-litre/second lifting station, gravity networks with a total length of 7,150 metres and diameters ranging from 160mm to 500mm, and a 400mm external diameter HDPE force main with a length of 3,800 metres from the western El Fant lifting station to the existing Saft El Nour lifting station to the permanent El Fashn treatment plant.
