Qalyubia Governor follows up on the implementation status of a number of projects implemented by the Arab Contractors

Eng. Ayman Attia - Governor of Qalyubia, inspected the maintenance, development, and paving works of Al Amiriya Bridge and the paving and development works of a number of streets in Shoubra El Kheima. The governor was accompanied by Eng. Heba Abu El Ela - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Mr. Megahed Nassar - Member of Parliament, Major Gen. Ihab Hassan Serag El Din - Secretary General, Dr. Mohamed Fawzy - Assistant Governor for Investment and Projects, Eng. Safaa Masoud – Manager of the Roads Directorate in Cairo Governorate, Dr. Ibrahim Ramadan - Professor of Roads at Benha University and Head of the Consulting Team following up on the work by Benha University, Eng. Yasser Abdel Aal - AC Executive Board Member and Head of the Roads Sectors, Eng. Ali Abdel Samad - AC Executive Board Member and Head of the Construction Sectors, Eng. Ayman Abdo – AC Executive Board Member and Head of the Bridges and Foundations Sector, Eng. Ihab Khafaga – Manager of the Bridges Repair and Maintenance Department, Eng. Mohamed Basyouni - Head of East Shoubra El Kheima, Mr. Khaled El Arafi - Head of West District, and Eng. Hanan Gamal – Manager of the Roads Directorate. Eng. Ayman Abdo explained that the development and paving project of Al Amiriya Bridge is 650 meters long and 36 meters wide and consists of 4 traffic lanes in each direction. The paving works and construction of the bridge’s iron fence have been completed, and work is ongoing to upgrade the side curbs and columns. The development works also included the rehabilitation of the bridge’s structural elements, including columns, beams and slabs, in addition to road and paving works, replacing the bridge joints, and rehabilitating the fences and sidewalks. Eng. Ihab Khafaga added that the company was keen to use the latest technologies and materials in the development work to ensure the quality of implementation and achieve the highest safety standards. Eng. Safaa Massoud praised the implementation level and speed of completion and stressed the importance of cooperation between the concerned parties to complete these vital projects. On the other hand, the governor inspected the implementation status of the paving and development plan in a number of streets in Shoubra El Kheima, including the paving works of Al Khamseen street at the West Shoubra El Kheima, which is 500 meters long. He directed to push forward the work on the street and expand it, and use the central island to create parking areas and coordinate with utility companies and prepare joining reports to ensure that there are no works on public facilities. He also inspected the paving works of Bahtim Esco Street, where the base layer was laid on the street and coordination is ongoing with utility companies to lay the sand layer in the second phase of the street. During his tour, the governor stressed the importance of these projects in improving the infrastructure, facilitating traffic, and providing a safe environment for citizens. He stressed the need to adhere to the deadlines set for the completion of these projects and to take into account the quality of implementation. Eng. Ayman Attia also held a meeting with the company's leaders to discuss the obstacles facing the paving sector projects in Shoubra El Kheima, most notably coordination with utility companies and the work of transferring or deepening some utilities such as communications or electricity cables. Coordination was made with the ministries of finance and planning to finalize the clearance due to the company and complete payment orders, as the governor emphasized on holding a weekly meeting to resolve any obstacles as soon as possible.
