The Prime Minister follows up with Cairo Governor on work files and service projects

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly - Prime Minister, met with Dr. Ibrahim Saber – Cairo Governor; within the framework of following up on the current status of a number of work files, as well as the latest developments in the service projects being implemented within the governorate, in the presence of Eng. Mohamed Abu Saada - Chairman of the National Authority for Urban Coordination, Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Heba Abu Al Ella – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company. The Prime Minister stressed his keenness to continuously follow up on all service projects being implemented in the governorate for the benefit of citizens, to monitor their completion rates and the work progress, as well as national projects. During the meeting, Cairo Governor discussed a number of topics and work axes in the projects currently being implemented within the governorate, including the development work that took place in Downtown area during the past period, and is being completed to restore the distinctive appearance of Khedivial Cairo in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and the National Authority for Urban Coordination, noting that work is ongoing to implement the directives of the Prime Minister regarding studying the allocation of a number of Khedivial Cairo streets for pedestrians only in cooperation with the Authority, stressing the governorate’s keenness to develop this area, preserve it and remove any encroachments, in addition to improving its visual image and coordinating the surrounding public space. During the meeting, Dr. Ibrahim Saber highlighted the opening of 15th of May slaughterhouse after being equipped with the highest health, technical, and environmental standards and the completion of the work on it, stressing the regularity of work in the slaughterhouse with high efficiency and a great demand from butchers after its establishment and operation; in preparation for the closure of the Al Basatin slaughterhouse as part of the state’s efforts to re-plan and develop the Khalifa neighbourhood and raise the efficiency of the surrounding areas. At the same time, the Governor of Cairo pointed out the follow-up of the ongoing efficiency-raising work on the Ring Road and the development plan to plant trees and cultivate the road and provide water sources to irrigate these crops and preserve them for sustainability.
