Arab Contractors signs protocol to study the strategic road "Egypt-Libya-Chad"

In an important step to enhance regional cooperation between Egypt and Chad, a protocol was signed to study and implement a road linking Chad to Egypt via Libya. This project aims to improve cross-border connectivity and exchange. The Chadian Minister of Infrastructure Development and Roads Mr. Aziz Mahamat Saleh, and Eng. Ahmed El Assar - CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, signed an agreement representing the launch of studies to construct a road linking Chad to Egypt. This project is one of the manifestations of strengthening economic and social ties between the two countries, by facilitating the transport of goods and people across the Sahel region. The signing was attended by Eng. Heba Abou El Ella - Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohammed El Qiaay - Head of the Sector Supervising Chad Branch, and Eng. Mohamed El Mashhad - Manager of the Company’s Branch in Chad. Eng. Ahmed El Assar expressed his gratitude to the Chadian Minister and the teamwork. He pointed out the importance of this step to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries. In turn, the Chadian Minister Aziz Mahamat Saleh, on behalf of the Chadian President Mahamat Idriss D?by Itno and the Chadian government, expressed their warm welcome to the company’s delegation, and stressed the importance of this project for Chad and Egypt, as it aims to improve communication between the two countries. The Chadian Prime Minister welcomed the company's delegation after signing the protocol, and expressed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the infrastructure sector in Chad, and praised the signing of the protocol. They discussed opportunities for cooperation in the infrastructure sector. The signed protocol includes the completion of the detailed technical studies necessary to start implementing the road. This initiative comes within a broader framework to develop infrastructure and enhance cross-border exchange. It is worth mentioning that last September, the Arab Contractors Company signed an agreement with the same content with the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund for the section of the middle road in Libya. Thus, the contracts and agreements for constructing the road for the entire parts of Chad and Libya are completed, allowing for the immediate start of the study and implementation work.
