The President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, received Eng. Heba Abou El Ella – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Hassan Hassoun - Managing Director of the Congolese Arab Contractors Company. The Burundian President welcomed the company’s delegation and praised the pioneering Egyptian experience in the field of urban development. He also commended the role of the Arab Contractors Company and its experience in the African continent, stressing the need for the company’s presence in Burundi.
The Arab Contractors Company also signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a water plant project in Burundi, where Heba Abou El Ella – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, and the Burundian Minister of Energy signed the agreement in the presence of Eng. Hassan Hassoun - Managing Director of the Congolese Arab Contractors Company. The Burundian Minister of Finance also received the company’s delegation and discussed the available funding methods for the projects.
This agreement comes as a continuation of the efforts of the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, headed by Dr. Yousry El Sharkawy, and the efforts of the Arab Contractors Company, headed by Eng. Ahmed El Assar, to expand regionally in exporting the Egyptian contracting industry to African markets and to seek out available cooperation opportunities in Africa.
