A delegation from the Arab Contractors Company, headed by Eng. Sayed El Wazir - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, visited Algeria. The delegation was received by the Algerian Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Mr. Lakhdar Rakhroukh. They discussed ways of cooperation in light of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, with emphasis on the importance of exchanging expertise in various fields. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Algeria, Dr. Mokhtar Warida, and a number of leaders of the Ministry. The Algerian Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures reviewed the Algerian experience in the field of infrastructure and facilities, especially railways, through the implementation of the national programme for investment in railways, transport and the experience in implementing projects. For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador praised the Algerian experience in implementing infrastructure projects. He expressed the desire of Egyptian companies, led by the Arab Contractors Company to participate in the same program while stressing the importance of developing this partnership by establishing a group of Algerian-Egyptian construction companies. The two sides agreed on the importance of promoting cooperation prospects during the next phase, enhancing joint investments, and building bilateral economic partnerships in the sectors, in light of the distinguished expertise and capabilities of the two countries. The company's delegation also met with H.E. Mohamed Arkab - the Algerian Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies. During this meeting, they explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation relations between Egypt and Algeria in the fields of energy, mines and renewable energies, in line with the directives of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and joint cooperation. The two sides also reviewed the prospects for developing these relations in implementation of the outcomes of the working and brotherly visit made by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune - the Algerian President to the Arab Republic of Egypt last October. During the meeting, the Minister of State gave a comprehensive presentation on the current and future programs and projects for the energy, mining and renewable energy sector, expressing his aspiration to implement joint projects between Algerian companies and the Arab Contractors Company. The Minister emphasized that these projects must be based on solid economic foundations and a partnership based on common interests. The meetings were attended by Dr. Yasser Qarani - Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Commercial Office at the Egyptian Embassy in Algeria, Eng. Mohamed El Shoubri, Manager of Algeria Branch, and Mr. Alaa Al Zoughbi - Manager of Financial Affairs and Logistics at Algeria Branch. For his part, the Egyptian delegation praised the distinguished historical relations between the two countries, expressing its appreciation for the positive level achieved by Egyptian companies operating in Algeria. Ambassador Mokhtar Wreida also stressed the interest of the Arab Republic of Egypt in enhancing cooperation with Algeria, especially in the fields of energy, mining and renewable energy, and exchanging expertise between the two brotherly countries.
