Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inaugurated Manchester Building at Al Mouwasat Hospital at Alexandria University as part of the project to develop educational and therapeutic buildings at the Faculty of Medicine. He was accompanied by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa - President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen- Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Eng. Osama Shawkat – Executive Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, which is implementing the works. It is worth noting that Manchester International Education Building is dedicated to studying for students of the joint program in the field of medicine and surgery, in cooperation with Manchester University, UK. It consists of two buildings, an administrative building and an educational building, which consists of 4 floors and includes lecture halls, computer labs, clinical simulation labs, small classrooms, and a library equipped with the latest technologies. Dr. Ayman Ashour praised the quality of work and development work witnessed by Alexandria University, which contributes to fulfilling its mission as desired and providing the best medical services appropriate to citizens. He praised the important role played by Alexandria University with its distinguished scientific cadres and expertise in all specializations to serve citizens in various sectors. He stated that the ministry pays great attention to developing medical and health services in university hospitals, as they are one of the main pillars in providing health services to citizens, alongside the Ministry of Health hospitals. The inauguration was attended by Eng. Mohamed Kotb - Deputy Manager of Alexandria Branch, Eng. Ayman Sarhan –Manager of University Projects, Eng. Zaki Salah - Project Manager, and a group of leaders from the Ministry and the University.
