Eng. Ayman Attia – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, inspected Ain Sokhna Port Development Project, which is being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Roads and Bridges Authority as part of a comprehensive plan to develop Egyptian ports to make Egypt a global center for trade and logistics. The company is implementing Ain Sokhna Port berth with a length of 900 meters and a width of 33 meters; the implementation rate has reached 80%.
The Board Member listened to an extensive explanation from Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Fouda – Executive Board Member, about the importance of the project and learning about its sectors. He witnessed the ongoing work, including the deep foundation, the front and rear diaphragm walls, which reach a depth of 64 meters, in addition to the berth works, which consist of cross beams with a width of 1.5 m and a depth of 2.00 m, with a total of 246 beams throughout the entire berth, as well as rear and front beams with a width of 3.3 m and a depth of 2.00 m.
Eng. Ayman Attia – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, was accompanied during the visit by Eng. Iman Farouk - Manager of Tunnels and Slip Forms Department, Eng. Nader El Shafi’i and Eng. Ahmed Samir - Deputy Managers of the Tunnels and Slip Forms Department, and Eng. Mohammed Ezz Al Arab – the Project Manager.
During the visit, Eng. Ayman Attia emphasized the importance of commitment to safety and occupational health in the project, stressing adherence to the time schedule and working on all axes and sectors of the project in parallel to ensure speedy completion.
