Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the potable water purification plants in 10th of Ramadan City, where the capacity of the two existing stations is 620000 m3/day and the third station is 1.2 million m3/day in two phases, one of which has been completed with a capacity of 600000 m3/day. The other plant is being implemented with the same capacity, and the Minister also inspected its feeding intakes on Ismailia Canal.
This was in the presence of Dr. Sayed Ismail - Deputy Minister of Housing for Infrastructure, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Qader - Head of the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), Eng. Hani Hashem – Deputy of the Head of the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), Eng. Ashraf Fathy - Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority, Eng. Alaa Maniea - Head of the City Authority, Eng. Hossam El Din El Rify - Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Hassan Moustafa – AC Board Member, Eng. Ramzi Moustafa and Eng. Mahmoud El Sharnoubi - AC Executive Board Members, and Eng. Hani Maher – Manager of Canal Branch which executing the works.
The Minister of Housing and his companions also inspected the progress of the existing plants in the various stages of potable water purification. He also followed the implementation of the second phase of the third plant with a capacity of 600,000 m3/day and the outlet feeding it. They also assured the mechanism for periodically withdrawing samples from the outlet, the plant, and the networks, examined it in the plant’s central laboratory to ensure the quality of the produced water, and listened to a detailed explanation from the Head of the City Authority and plant officials about the status of its operation, which supplies the 10th of Ramadan City, next to the cities of (the New Administrative Capital – Al Shorouk - Badr - Madinaty - New Heliopolis - Leather City in El Rubiki).
Dr. Assem El Gazzar emphasized the necessity of operating, managing, and maintaining the potable water plants, their intakes, and pumps in the 10th of Ramadan City at the highest level, implementing standard maintenance work to preserve the components of the plants and prolong their lives, the landscape work of all plants, and constructing a wall surrounding the plants’ intakes, guided by the assistance and benefit of companies specializing in the management and maintenance of potable water plants, intakes, and pumps.
