The Arab Contractors Company received a presidential medal of the second degree from Kazakhstan in appreciation of its prominent role in restoring al-Zahir Baybars Mosque to its origin as an architectural masterpiece and an Islamic beacon in Egypt.
This honour came on the sidelines of the ceremony that was held on the occasion of the opening of the mosque and the 800th anniversary of the birth of Sultan al-Zahir Baybars Mosque, where Kazakh Senate Speaker Dr. Maulen Asimbaev, on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan, handed over the medal to Eng. Sayed Farouk – former Chairman of the Arab Contractors, in recognition of his role in the restoration work during his chairmanship of the company.
It is worth noting that the Arab Contractors worked in Kazakhstan before, where the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nour Mubarak" was established in 1993, and that this medal is a culmination of the achievements of the Arab Contractors Company in the field of restoration, which previously received the Order of the Holy Patriarch for its role in the restoration of the Church of Mar Gerges Church in Misr El Qadima. The company also received presidential medals from the countries of Equatorial Guinea, Chad, and Cote d’Ivoire for its role in the implementation of development projects.
