The Arab Contractors participate in the Islamic Development Bank Conference

The Arab Contractors Company participated in events of the Islamic Development Bank conference held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from 11th to 13th May 2023, with a delegation of board members, including Eng. El Sayed Abdel Khalek, Eng. Ahmed El Adalany; as well as Eng. Moustafa Saad – Manager of Business Development and Strategic Studies, and Eng. Mohamed Abou Deshish – Consultant of Tunnels Projects. The conference focuses on a main axis: partnerships to fend off crises. The conference was attended by a large number of representatives of international development banks, finance institutions, investment authorities, private sector companies, and government officials of member states. The company participated in the main discussion session of the conference on the current challenges facing financing food security projects, stimulating tourism, and developing the green economy in the member countries of the bank, during which Eng. El Sayed Abdel Khalek presented the Arab Contractors’ long experience in the construction of hydropower and irrigation dams, grain silos projects for agricultural and industrial development, and ensuring food security for those countries. Besides the company's experiences in implementing urban transport projects that serve the tourism development objectives in African and Arab Countries members in the Islamic Development Bank. On the sidelines of the conference, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the bank to enhance cooperation towards supporting the financing of the development projects that the company participates in implementing locally and internationally. A number of ministers and senior officials are participating in the conference, including Dr. Rania Al Mashat - Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Hala El Said - Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Mohamed Maait - Minister of Finance, and Dr. Mahmoud Mohi Eldin - Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund.
