The Prime Minister discusses the vision of the "Arab Contractors" in the next phase

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to discuss the vision of the "Arab Contractors" Company in the next phase, following the issuance of the presidential decree on reforming the AC's Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO & Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Hossam ElDin El Rifi - Senior Vice Chairman of the company. The Prime Minister started the meeting by congratulating the officials of the board on the issuance of the presidential decree on reforming the AC's Board of Directors, expressing his wishes for success in their tasks. In this regard, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly said: There are many challenges at this phase, but we realize that the "Arab Contractors" men are able to lead the ranking of contracting companies in the region, and acquire major projects at home and abroad. The Prime Minister directed the need to expand the company's business and projects during the next stage, especially abroad, stressing that the state supports the company, and is well aware of its importance as one of the biggest and oldest contracting companies in the Middle East and Africa, and its roots extend back to more than half a century, and for its constant keenness on the development and use of the latest construction methods and technology, as well as the diversity of its work in construction projects, bridges, roads, tunnels, airports, water and wastewater projects, power plants, dams, and other specialized and complementary activities of contracting, engineering consultancy and others. During the meeting, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities emphasized his constant keenness to follow up on the activities and projects implemented by the company, with a commitment to provide various aspects of support on a sustainable basis to help the company carry out its work, indicating that work is also underway to resolve the company's financial entanglements and restructure to strengthen the company's economic position. For his part, Eng. Ahmed El Assar thanked the Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing for the company's continuous support, stressing that the new board of directors will seek to increase its various projects in the Middle East and Africa and open new markets, in addition to implementing the national projects assigned to the company with the highest efficiency. During his speech, the Chairman of the Arab Contractors explored the challenges that faced the company during the last period, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, stressing that the company has promising capabilities in human resources, technical expertise, and distinguished cadres, which qualify it for a distinguished position. Eng. Ahmed El Assar also presented the company's vision for development and its future challenges after studying the global economic conditions as a result of successive crises and their repercussions on the whole world and in light of the steady changes in the Egyptian market for contracting and construction during the past years in terms of the volume and quality of work offered, explaining that this vision was determined after studying the current situation, identifying strengths and weaknesses, studying future opportunities, developing an initial strategy, and defining mechanisms for achieving them. The Chairman gave an overview of the objectives of the Board of Directors during a short time plan at all levels of work and implementation, pointing out that in light of this, information centers were reformed at the company level and supported by competencies and devices from inside and outside the company, besides data entry and validation for all branches and departments of the company in a period of time not exceeding 3 months, with daily follow-up of the work development. At the same time, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO & Chairman of the clarified the interim plan to complete the detailed studies of the company's expansion in African countries other than the countries in which it currently has business, by following a clear methodology for the gradation of presence and having new business, in addition to opening road projects that exceed 65% of construction projects in all countries, within the framework of a well-defined project that includes benefiting from the strong relations of the Egyptian state, provided that implementation begins in each country as soon as its studies are prepared, in addition to marketing the projects of a specialized nature such as dams, renewable-energy power plants, and others. Eng. Ahmed El Assar continued explaining the interim goals, pointing out that work will be done to consolidate modern thinking and innovative management systems, through the development of strategic plans on several main axes, refining the talents of the young people in various fields, and modifying project management systems with modern scientific methods. In addition to reviving innovative panel discussions and creative competitions with clear plans for each point within a specific time frame. The meeting witnessed the presentation of the company's volume of work inside Egypt and abroad, in addition to the current implementation status of the projects. In this regard, the implementation status of a number of projects related to some ministries and various authorities was reviewed.
