Arab Contractors Tanzania Limited Company won the award for the best contracting company in Tanzania in 2022. The company received an award from the East Africa Building and Construction Awards, which aim to promote innovative methods, construction quality, and competitiveness in all fields of building and construction in East Africa Region.
At the awards ceremony, participating African companies were honored in 20 categories, most notably: contracting works, cement industry, paints, consulting offices, technology, and other categories. The total number of nominations for these awards reached 87,094 from many entities participating in the competition at the African level. The award for Arab Contractors Tanzania Ltd was received by Eng. Ahmed Mansour - Managing Director of Arab Contractors Tanzania.
The East Africa Building and Construction Awards is a wide-ranging platform specialized in construction products and services in East African countries. The competition is run by Ujenzi Media Group, which has a variety of construction media outlets, specifically coverage, follow-up of events, and marketing in the field of building and construction.
This honor confirms that the Tanzanian Arab Contractors Company is implementing several projects according to the highest quality standards since its establishment in 2015.
Julius Nyerere Dam and Hydropower Plant project witnessed a great celebration of the impounding and first fill of the dam lake in the presence of President Samia Hassan - President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the Egyptian delegation of HE Mr. Sameh Shoukry - Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, who periodically follows up all the details of the project, commissioned by the political leadership. The Egyptian JV "Arab Contractors Company" and "El Sewedy Electric Company," which implemented the project, signed a contract in December 2018, in the presence of the late President of the Federal Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly - the Egyptian Prime Minister in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to implement the project.
