Hossam El Din El Reefi – AC Board Member, inspected the expansion of Kilo21 Bridge at Alex Desert Road and El Kafouri Bridge in Alexandria. These projects are carried out under the supervision of the Transport Ministry and the General Authority for Roads and Bridges. This tour was in the presence of Eng. Alaa Shalaby – Sectors Head and Executive Board Member, Eng. Yousry Abdel Razek –Sector Head of Alexandria, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Nabi – Alexandria Branch Manager, Eng. Mohamed Helmi – Sector Head of Equipment in Alexandria Branch, and Eng. Hamdi Abo El Roos – Project Manager, who declared that the company has accomplished the utilities diversion for the 2 projects. The AC implemented 2 new alternative water lines. He added that the project was to expand the Kilo 21 Bridge of Alexandria Desert Road with 950m length, 4 lanes instead of 2 lanes. Besides, the expansion of El Kafouri Bridge on Cairo/Alex Desert Road heading to Borg El Arab with a total length of 700 m and 4 traffic lanes. This comes within the framework of the strong launch of road and bridge projects witnessed in Alexandria Governorate, which is of great interest to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi with the aim of eliminating traffic stacks, absorbing the increase in population, as well as meeting passenger transport needs to achieve the governmental sustainable development plan.
