The project to extend the sewage service to the Abu Talat area in Alexandria is considered a turning point which will alleviate the suffering of the people from sewage problems and water accumulations in the streets of Abu Talat that is located Kilo 21 Bridge till the wall of SUMED Company. The project include a treatment plant with a production capacity 35,000 m3/day (first phase), 2 main pumping stations, a sub-pumping station, main and sub gravity networks with varied diameters (concrete pipes 700 mm - 1500 mm diameter and UPVC pipes 250 mm - 630 mm diameter), 2 drain lines 800 mm and 1200 mm, 2 culverts beneath west El Nubaria drain (2500 mm and 3200 mm diameter), and a double culverts under Alexandria-Marsa Matrouh road with a diameter of 2500 mm. The Arab Contractors Company is carrying out the electromechanical works for all the project components.
