Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company inspected the final phases of the development works of Suez Canal Museum in Ismailia. This was in the presence of Eng. Mohamed El Zahaby – Project Consultant, Eng. Mohamed Gharib Abo Elregal – Head of Works Department and Eng. Sahar Zaghloul – Manager of Suez Canal Museum. They were received by Eng. Samir Saad Allah – Head of Sectors supervising Canal and Sinai Sector, Eng. Ahmed El Gamea – Manager of Sinai Branch and Eng. Mohamed Abdullah El Alwany – Project Manager. The project includes construction work, restoration and rehabilitation of the first administrative building of Suez Canal which was built in 1869. It will be rehabilitated to be an international museum that narrates the history of the Suez Canal from its establishment till the inauguration of the New Suez Canal by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The project includes Ferdinand de Lesseps’s rest house and a memorial wall that tells the history of the Suez Canal. The museum is built upon 10000m2, the building area is 5500 m2 and a basement 1200m2.
