Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO & Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company visited the Monorail project which served the great expansions in 6th October City and extends to Giza with a length of 43km.
He was accompanied by Eng. Usama Moustafa –Board Member and Eng. Abdel Hay Badawi – Project Manager. The visit included the inspection of the project’s yard in addition to the depot site nearby the Industrial Zone, it is built upon 80000 feddans.
The chairman reviewed the project route, inquired about the current action plan and ensure that there is not obstacles hindering the work progress. This was in the presence of Eng. Mohamed El Kurdi – Manager of the Yard, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Halim – Manager of the Yard’s Mechanical Affairs. The monorail is a modern mass transit for the first time in Egypt and it is implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and the National Authority for Tunnels. It includes 12 stations: New October - Industrial Area – El Saddat – 6 October City Authority – Engineers Association – Nile University – Hyper One – Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road - Mansoureya – Maryotea - Ring Road – Wadi El Nile.
