Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO & President of the Arab Contractors Company received Ambassador Khairat Lama Sharif - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cairo for the honoring of the company and awarding the commemorative medal on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak; as an appreciation of the company's efforts in the construction of the university building in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2001.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan expressed his happiness at his presence in the Arab Contractors Company, the biggest Egyptian contracting company, which had a great role in the construction of University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak based on an international agreement between Egypt and Kazakhstan at the initiative of the presidents of the 2 countries in 1993, within the framework of Egypt's support for spreading the Arab-Islamic culture in the Western world, especially the Eurasian countries, these good endeavors by the Egyptian government are still exist with the support of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who visited Kazakhstan in 2016 to support and strengthen these relations.
The Ambassador praised the efforts exerted by the company to accomplish the restoration project of the archaeological Al Zahir Baybars Mosque in Cairo and preserve the historical character of it, which will contribute to the revival of the heritage of Sultan Al Zahir Baybars. It is considered a symbol of the historical relations between Egypt and Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Kazakh Ambassador Khairat Lama Sharif invited a delegation from the company to visit Kazakhstan and meet with Kazakh officials and major local contracting companies. He invited the company to study different projects and work in the Kazakh market.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Contractors Company has built the Faculties of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, a large mosque with a capacity of 1000 persons, and a building for the Imam’s residence, in addition to the landscaping and facilities (external wall - roads - drainage and feeding network – electricity – alarm - firefighting and air heating works).
