During his visit to a number of service and development projects in Giza Governorate, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly - Prime Minister accompanied by Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and Major General Ahmed Rashid - Governor of Giza inspected the works of Mohammed Anwar El Saddat Axis (formerly Terssa Axis).
During his tour, the Prime Minister listened to an explanation from Giza Governor about the ongoing works to accomplish the axis. He pointed out that Mohammed Anwar El Saddat Axis is a parallel axis to El Haram Street, and its cost reached about 100 million LE. These works extend from its intersection with El Mohwelat Street on El Haram Street to El Talbiya Bridge with a length of 800m in two directions. Each direction has 5 lanes with a width of 17.5m. In the middle of the direction, there is an island with a width of 1.5m and side pavements 1.5m. Besides, it links with El Talbiya Bridge with a length of 400m and the width of 2 traffic lanes is 7 m. He added that Mohammed Anwar El Saddat Axis is heading to Khatem El Morsaleen Axis with a length of 2.2 km and width of 17.5 m in each direction. In addition to the pavements and the island with a width of 2 m. Khatem El Morsaleen Axis intersects with the Lieutenant General Kamal Amer “formerly Al Zomor” at Khatem El Morsaleen Mosque.
The Prime Minister received by Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Senior Vice Chairman, Eng. Tarek Sakr and Eng. Ibrahim Mabrook – AC Board Members and Eng. Yasser Abdel Aal – Head of Roads Sector.
It is a noteworthy that the Roads Sector of the Arab Contractors Company is carrying out the development works of Khatem El Morsaleen Axis.
At the end of his tour of the Axis, the Prime Minister pointed out that this axis will contribute to accommodate the traffic movement in the area and reduce the traffic density on El Haram Street, which is expected to have a complete and partial closure of certain sectors during the implementation of Metro Line 4. He added that it will contribute to maximizing the utilization of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer Axis, by linking it with Khatem El Morsaleen Axis and El Talbiya Bridge, serving the citizens and facilitating their movement to reach the areas of El Mounib, Faisal, Saft El Labn, Gameat Al Dewal Al Arabia, Ard El Lewaa, Al Barageel and Al Warak. It is shortening the journey time from El Haram Street to El Mounib, El Mansouria and the direction of Maadi, as well as its environmental role by reducing traffic densities in the surrounding areas it serves. He urged to speed up the implementation, thus contributing to its entry into service as soon as possible.
