Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company inspected Cairo Monorail Project in 6th October City. It is considered one of the modern developed transportation projects which the company implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Transportation and the National Authority for Tunnels. Eng. Sayed Farouk was received by Eng. Mohamed Ramadan – Project Management Director, Eng. Aly Abdel Samd – Manager of Civil Works Department and Eng. Heba Abul Ella – Deputy Manager of Bridges and Specialized Structures Department. It is noteworthy that the project serves the huge expansions in 6 October City and extends to Giza with 43 km length. It is considered a modern mass transit for the first time in Egypt. The monorail is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail on a straddle concrete beam. It achieves a journey time equal to the time of the car's journey without stopping. The project includes 12 stations: New October - Industrial Area – El Saddat – 6 October City Authority – Engineers Association – Nile University – Hyper One – Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road - Mansoureya – Maryotea - Ring Road – Wadi El Nile; in addition to the Depot location near the Industrial Area of 80 feddans approximately.
