President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed - Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning, Major General Ihab Al-Far - Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces and Major General Essam Galal - Director of the Water Department at the Engineering Authority. The meeting was also held with Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO & President of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Osama Bishai - CEO of Orascom Construction, Eng. Hassan Allam – CEO of Hassan Allam Sons and Eng. Karim Madwar - CEO of Metito. The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed the procedures for the construction of Agricultural Wastewater Treatment Plant in El Hammam area. The President gave directions to immediately start the construction of the Agricultural Wastewater Treatment Plant in El Hammam area, North Coast with a capacity of 6 million m3 of water/day. The agricultural drainage water in North Delta would be collected, then transferred to El Hammam Wastewater Treatment Plant through a 120 km-long water route. The main objective to reclaim and cultivate 500000 feddans in West Delta within the framework of the state’s strategy to expand the agricultural area all over the republic, develop the Western Desert Region, and form new agricultural and population communities depend on agricultural production and industrialization. All the details of the construction of the Agricultural Wastewater Treatment Plant in El Hammam was explored within the meeting from the joint venture of the major contracting companies of the Arab Contractors Company, Orascom Construction, Hassan Allam Sons and Metito.
