Admiral Osama Rabie - Chairman & Managing Director of the Suez Canal Authority welcomed Eng. Sayed Farook – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company, congratulated him for the chairmanship of the AC and wishing success and progress for the whole Board of Directors.
They discussed ways of cooperation between Suez Canal Authority, Arab Contractors Company and JVs between the two sides.
Then, they inspected Suez Canal Museum which is carried out by the company. They were accompanied by Eng. Mofida Allam –Roads Consultant in the AC, Eng. Mohammed El Hosseiny – Member of the Executive Board of the AC and Eng. Mubarak Mansour – Head of Canal and Sinai Sector. Admiral Osama Rabie and Eng. Sayed Farook listened to explanation about the implementation rates.
It is a noteworthy that the museum project includes construction work, restoration and rehabilitation of the first administrative building of Suez Canal which was built in 1869. It will be rehabilitated to be an international museum that narrates the history of the Suez Canal since its establishment till the inauguration of the New Suez Canal by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The project includes the archeological villa of Ferdinand de Lesseps, memorial wall that tells the history of the Suez Canal. The museum is built upon 10000m2 represents the building area which is 5500m, basement 1200m. The project includes internal subway network extends outside the museum. The project includes 99halls, 114 doors, 175 windows and 303 wooden pillars.
