Dr. Moustafa Madbouli – Prime Minister visited several axes, main roads and bridges projects which are carried out in 6 October City; in addition to the bridges of Al Mansouria and Al Zomor Lake in El Haram. He was accompanied by Dr. Assem El Gazar –Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major Gen. Ahmed Rashed – Giza Governor, Major Gen. Mahmoud Nassar - Head of the Central Development Authority, Eng. Abdel Motleb Mamdouh – Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Eng. Mohsen Salah – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Kamal Bahgat – Assistant Deputy of New Urban Communities Authority, Eng. Sherif El Sherbini – Head of 6 October Development Authority, Eng. Sayed Farouk – Senior Vice Chairman of the AC, Eng. Tarek Sakr and Eng. Ahmed El Assar – AC Board Members, Eng. Ali Abdel Samd – Manager of the Civil Works Department and Eng. Yasser Abdel Aal – Manager of Upper Egypt Roads. The Prime Minister emphasized on the speedy completion, development and increasing the efficiency of these roads and axes to facilitate traffic movement The Prime Minister stressed the need to accelerate the completion of the implementation work, developing and increasing the efficiency of these roads and axes in light of its importance in serving the inhabitants of 6th of October. It will facilitate their movement and activity, besides linking Greater Cairo with a number of other governorates to ease the movement of people and goods. It is a noteworthy that the Arab Contractors Company is currently participating in the Development of the main axis to 6 October City, it is divided into 3 main sections and the Arab Contractors Company will implement the second sections through the Development Authority of 6th October City. The project includes the construction of the service road on both sides of Al Wahat Road; it is 30km length and 15m width. The U-turn bridges which were accomplished are: no. 3 and 6 on Al Wahat Road and bridge no. 18 above the railroad. Nowadays, the ongoing works is at the intersection no. 2 which includes the implementation of 6 bridges with a total length 6.5km approximately to cancel the intersection in the Al Wahat turntable. The time schedule was compressed, increase the workers and equipment number to finalize it as a preparation for its inauguration as soon as possible. Intersection no. 2 has 2 bridges perpendicular to two levels: one on Dahshour Southern Road to link the Middle Ring Road of 6 October with Rod El Farag Axis, It serves the traffic of cars in the customs area in the industrial zone; the other Higher Bridge on Al Wahat Road to transfer it into free road (Fayoum-Al Wahat) consequently it will ease the traffic to Al Wahat Road. Besides, the construction of a square on the Al Wahat turntable to facilitate the U-turn and solve the intersection problem between Dahshour Road and the existing Al Wahat Road. In addition to the implementation of a higher bridge no. 8 and a tunnel at the intersection of the Ring Road to connect with the Al Wahat Road. Moreover, the Arab Contractors Company is implementing the Bridge of Al Mansouria Lake intersection with Al Fayoum Road which is considered one of the important national projects executed by the AC under the supervision of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces and participation of a number of the national companies to reduce the traffic density in Giza. It is part of the development of Al Mansouria Axis and Al Fayoum Road. The project objective aims at the traffic duality to Al Mansouria Road and solves the intersection problem of Al Mansouria Road with Al Remaya Bridge. It is one direction inlet for the one coming from the outlet of the Ring Road on Al Mansouria Road heading to Al Haram Street to cross Al Mansouria Road with Al Remaya Bridge downward to Faisal Street intersection with Al Mansouria Road. It is 750m length, 10m width, 3 traffic lanes and its cost reached 85 million EGP. The Arab Contractors Company is participating in the implementation of the first and third sectors of Al Zomor lake axis with a total of value 1.4 billion EGP, through the Central Development Authority - Greater Cairo Development Authority. It is a new traffic hub in Giza on the covered track covered of Al Zomor lake between the Southern arc of the Ring Road nearby Al Mounib Square and the Northern arc of the Ring Road in Imbaba with a length of 12 km and estimated cost 3.8 billion EGP. The axis intersects with the streets of (Moustashfa El Sadr Hospital – El Thalathini – Khatem El Morsaleen – El Haram – Faisal – Saft El Labn axis – Gameat El Dewal Al Arabia – Nahia – July axis – Imbaba Airport) it aims at solving several traffic problems in Giza and relocation of the traffic movement to reduce the traffic jam in Giza Square, 26 July Axis and Saft El Labn Axis. The new axis is considered the first free traffic hub connects North and South Giza.
