The Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shoukry inspected the new building of the Egyptian Embassy in the Tunisian capital on the sidelines of his meeting with Arab foreign ministers in preparation for the 30th ordinary session of the League of Arab States. Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Advisor Ahmed Hafez added that Minister Shoukry thanked the members of the Arab Contractors Company whom executed the new building of the embassy. He expressed his appreciation for the excellent construction work which always provided by the Arab Contractors Company, praising their efforts to complete the new building according to the defined schedule. Advisor Ahmed Hafez said that the construction of the new building of the Egyptian embassy, ??which is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop the headquarters of Egyptian missions abroad in a way contributes to improve and facilitate services provided to the Egyptian community there, as well as presenting a picture that highlights Egypt's cultural image and appropriate with the Egyptian cultural and historical heritage and values. The Minister was welcomed by Eng. Ihab El Gowhary – the Manager of Tunisia Branch, Mr. Osama Ezzat – the Financial Manager for Tunisia Branch, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Rehim – the Project Manager and Eng. Bassam Hantt – the Manager of the Technical Office. It is a noteworthy that the new building is built upon 1900m2, it consists of the basement which includes: a garage, services area and a residential part for the employees; the ground floor which has a multi-use hall, a reception and the consular section; the First floor which include the office of the Ambassador, the conferences hall, diplomatic offices; the Second floor comprises the technical and administrative offices. The contractual cost of the project is 7.3 million US$. The design of the building reflects the Islamic architectural style in Egypt.
