Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Moustafa Madbouli continued his inspecting tours for the sporting buildings in Cairo International Stadium to follow up the preparation for Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted in Egypt by next June. The Prime Minister after his arrival to the stadium holds a meeting attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi – the Minister of Youth and Sports, Eng. Randa El Menshawy – the First Deputy of the Minister of Housing and the Supervisor of PM's Office, Gen. Aly Darweesh – Head of Cairo Stadium Authority, Mr. Hany Abo Rida - President of the Egyptian Football Association, Eng. Mohsen Salah – Chairman and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company & the Engineering Consultant responsible for the Development Works, Eng. Sayed Farouk – Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Emam Afify – the Vice President of the Arab Contractors Company and Eng. Ahmed Abbass – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company. The meeting was to explore the suggested development plan for Cairo International Stadium in general, the decoration works, the lighting systems and the landscape. After the meeting, Dr. Madbouli checked the main compartment, the playgrounds, the stands and the stadium's facilities to follow on the worksite the development works that will be achieved to prepare the stadium to host the African Championship. The Prime Minister stressed on the necessity to finalize all the preparation and development works within 3 months maximum. He emphasized on the importance of the development of the surroundings adjoining to the main entries, the setting up of fountains in the main entry of the stadium, the use of the available areas for the development works to have the stadium in the most brightful image. The Prime Minister stressed that this championship comes within the interest of the political leadership to activate relations with the African countries and coincide with the presidency of Egypt to the African Union, aiming at a successful African championship witnessed by the whole world.
