Eng. Mohsen Salah – the Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company inspected the East Nile Bridge of Rod El Farg Axis which executed under the supervision of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces. It is a noteworthy that the project includes the widest Cable-Stayed Bridge in the world, its width is 64m; and the largest navigational slot across the Nile which is up to 300m. The Cable-Stayed Bridge is based on 6 columns; 3 columns in the East and the same in the Western side. The columns rise 100 m and on a base of 80 piles with 2m diameter and 46m depth. The bridge capacity is up to 120 tons. There are 4000 engineers, technicians, highly skilled workers from different branched and departments, the workers specialization varied between piling works, columns bases workers whom work under the river surface. In addition to a huge amount of equipment, more than 50 cranes with different capacity up to 600ton and 27 piling machines, 2 ferryboats specially manufactured in Maasara Shipyard of the AC with a total cost 46 million EGP, in addition to motorboats and marine rooms. The inspection tour was in the presence of Brigadier General Ayman Saqer – the Project Manager, Brig. Ashraf Al Arabi – Manager of the Engineering Office for the Engineering Authority, Colonel Mohammed Hawas – the Construction Manager of the project, Eng. Ahmed Al Assar - AC Board Members, Eng. Mofida Allam – the Roads Consultant in the AC and Supervisor of the Laboratory Sector, Eng. Osama Kamal and Eng. Khaled Eissa – Member of the AC Executives Board, Eng. Ahmed Eissa – Head of Manufacturing Sector, Eng. Tarek Haridy – Head of Equipment Sector, Eng. Essam Shahin – Manager of the Workshops and Central Factories Department, Eng. Ashraf Attia – Head of Road Sector, Eng. Mohammed Amin – Manager of Internal Roads Department, Eng. Aly Abdel Samd – Manager of the Ordinary Works Department, Eng. Heba Abul Ella – Deputy Manager of Bridges Department and Eng. Mohammed Fawzy – the Project Manager.
