The President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema welcomed Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and awarded him with Equatorial Guinea’s First Class Independence Medal in recognition of bilateral cooperative relations between the two countries and Mahlab’s efforts to further them. He stated that Egypt has important role in the region and reinstate its suspended membership in the African Union is crucial.
The president of Equatorial Guinea announced that he will be inviting the newly elected president of Egypt to attend the African Union summit in Malabo on next June. He also praised the African projects set up by the Arab Contractors Company which contributing in developing Equatorial Guinea.
Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema received a written message from Egypt's interim President Adly Mansour by Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab covering the mutual relations and discuss development projects opportunities and the way for restoring Egypt’s membership in the African Union. This was in the presence of Egyptian delegation includes the ministers of: Foreign Affairs – Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Petroleum, the Presidential Media Advisor Ahmed El-Meslemany and Eng. Mohsen Salah – the Chairman of the Arab Contractors.
Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – the Prime Minister visited Fish Ton Project in Malabo. He praised the executed works' quality. The project includes 1000 housing units. He stated that the Arab Contractors is capable of executing mega projects in the African counties. Besides, he toured the work site of the new projects of the Egyptian embassy and asked them to define a schedule time line to execute this project which representing Egypt.
Finally, he visited the Headquarter of the Arab Contractors Company in Malabo. He praised the Arab Contractors role in the development of the African countries and representing Egypt abroad. He watched a documentary movie about AC activity and achievemets in Equatorial Guinea includes the achieved, on going projects and the social role towards the Equatorial Guinean inhabitants.
Eng. Ashraf Rateb – AC Board Member and Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of East and West Africa Sector provide a report about AC Activity in Equatorial Guinea which stated that:” it was established since 2003 as an Egyptian-Guinean Company. Its total turnover since establishment reached about 2 billion US$.
Eng. Rateb Mabrouk stated that the AC position which established as a Limited company strengthening its existence in EG because the Guinean Law gives better business opportunities to the guinean companies more than the foreign companies which qualify it to accomplish its works with minor legal obstacles. He added that AC has a good streengthful relations and local partners supporting its existence. In addition to its being an African company which mingled easily with the Guinean Society.
