Prime Minister Hisham Qandeel after his return from Iraq, which is considered the first visit to an Egyptian official since 20 years, said that the discussion was fruitful in all aspects. Besides; Egypt and Iraq have agreed to develop their ties and forming Iraqi-Egyptian Businessmen Council headed by Eng. Ossama El Hosseiny, the CEO of the AC. Eng. Ossama was chosen for his being the head of the major contracting company in Middle East and Africa; besides the company powerful existence in Iraq. They agreed upon building 10000 housing units in Iraq. Concerning the industry sector, they agreed upon defining an industrial zone as a joint venture between the Egyptian and Iraqi sector specialized in building materials. A cement, iron, ceramic, blocks and various building materials factory will be build there to support the Egyptian building companies in Iraq which contributes in the development cycle. Besides, he stated that the petroleum Egyptian companies signed EGP 500 million contracts. In electricity sector they will train the Iraqi workers, operate the stations and export the Egyptian spare parts. All these built upon a certain concept which is the common wealth in order to have a sustainable relation between Egypt and Iraq. The two sides asserted there strong well to activate their signed agreements and hold the supreme committee meetings as soon as possible to put these agreement into force.
The Prime Minister and his accompanied delegation including the ministers of foreign affairs, petroleum, electricity, manpower, industry, foreign trade, planning and international cooperation. Besides a delegation include more than 60 figures. They were invited by the Iraqi Prime Minister to visit Iraq to open new markets for the Egyptian products and create business opportunities for the Egyptian workers.
