After the first visit of Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi to Libya after the revolution; Eng. Mahlab and the Chairman of Libya Economic and Social Development Fund established The Arab Contractors in Libya for Maintenance and Construction, with a capital 10 million Dinar. The shareholders are: Libyan Economic Development Fund 50%, The Arab Contractors Company 40% and the rest is the private sector.
Eng. Mahlab stated that this company will carry out the maintenance and operating works; its headquarter will be in Tripoli. Besides; he declared that the AC studying with the Libyan side the requirements for rapid rescue in different construction and development in Libya especially water networks and stations, power plants, wastewater networks, roads, flyovers and ports. He said that the new projects in Libya in the coming phase will be on a wide international level and contacting many international companies (European and American) in Libya and agreed upon having a cooperation among these companies, AC and Egyptian companies.
Eng. Mahlab added that there is an agreement to establish a training unit on international level for engineers and technicians. The importance of this project is that it will accommodate a great number of trained workers.
