The Irrigation Minister and Fayoum Governor Laid the Foundation Stone for the New Drainage Pumping Station in Fayoum

The irrigation minister and Fayoum governor laid the foundation stone for the new drainage pumping station in the South of Qaroun Lake. It is noteworthy that the project will convert 100 million mᶟ/year of agricultural wastewater from Qaroun Lake to Al Rayan Lakes. The total value of the 1st phase is EGP 90 million. The project will contribute to decrease the water level of Qaroun Lake which effect on the surrounding land and divert the wastewater from Qaroun Lake to Al Rayan Lake which will decrease the amount of salinity. Besides; it will improve the irrigation in 800000 fed. in Fayoum and Giza and enhance the irrigation water supply to Fayoum.
