On Sunday 2nd May 2010, H.E. Suzanne Mubarak, First Lady of the Arab Republic of Egypt and President of the Egyptian Red Crescent lays foundation stone for the village of Red Crescent project in Al A’qab for the victims of floods in Aswan. in the presence of Eng. Ahmed El Maghrabi – Minister of Housing, Utilities & Urban Development, Dr. Hatem El Gabaly - Minister Of Health & Population, Ambassador Moushira Khattab - Minister of State for Family and Population, General Moustafa Ahmed El Sayed – Aswan Governor and Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company. It’s noteworthy that the project total value is EGP 90 million built on 95 acres. It includes the construction of 400 rural house of stone, sewage, water supply, roads, service buildings (operator –mosque - market –bakery – police station – medical unit – school). Eng. Assem Edward - South Valley Branch Manager and Eng. Anas Mohammed Fawzy - Deputy of the Branch Manager, Eng. Mohammed Mansour - Deputy of the Branch Manager stated that the first phase which includes 200 rural homes and their facilities will be inaugurated in October.
