President Mubarak Inaugurated Two Potable Water Stations in Galia and Gamasa

On Sunday 14th September 2008, President Mubarak inaugurated two potable water stations in Galia and Gamasa to eliminate the crisis of potable water of Dakahlia 'Thirsty Villages' and provide water for more than 400 thousands person. In the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif, General Mohamed Hussein Tantawi - Minister of Defence and Military Production, Eng. Ahmed El Maghrabi – Minister of Housing , Utilities & Urban Development, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Zeid - Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hassan Younis – Minister of Electricity and Energy, General Mohammad Abdul Salam Al Mahgoub - Minister of State for Local Development, Dr. Hatem El Gabaly - Minister Of Health & Population, General Samir Salam, Dakahlia Governor, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - Chairman and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Hassan Khaled - National Authority for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage and Eng. Mohammed Tawfic – Board Member. Eng. Faek El Bana – Manager of North Delta Branch which executed the project stated that Gamasa Potable Water Station operate at a capacity of 34000m³/day, its total cost is EGP 180 million and Galia Potable Water Station operate at a capacity of 25000m³/day, its total cost is EGP 60 million – it is one of The National Project for Covering 240 Villages to extend fresh potable water to each citizen in Egypt.
