On the 29th of July 2007, Eng. Ahmad Maghraby - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development accompanied by Dr. Fathi Saad - Giza Governor inaugurated the sewerage projects for Bashtel and Metamadeya Villages. In the presence of Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – Chairman of the AC and AC Board members. Declared that the sewerage systems are expected to serve 700 thousand resident in the next 20 years.
