The design consist of :

- The project is to rehabilitate the security system of the Terminal (2) of Sharm el-Sheikh Airport by strengthening it with a triple bag inspection system scan(CT scan)

Second: extended area:

  • Restaurant and beverage area almost 2340 m2.
  • The waiting hall area 1780 m2.
  • Shade umbrella for employee attached to the building that serve meal and beverage with area almost 480 m2.

First: Developed areas:

  • The total area of ​​the airport has been increased from approximately 20,000 m2 to approximately 33,000 m2.
  • The area of ​​the departure hall has been increased from approximately 12,600 m2 to approximately 16,000 m2.
  • The area of ​​the arrival hall has been increased from approximately 5,000 m2 to approximately 7,000 m2.
  • Increase the travel and arrival local hall from almost 990 m2 to 1600 m2.
  • Increase the VIP area from almost 1150 m2 to almost 1400 m2.
  • Increase the C.T. and baggage movement from almost 526 m2 to almost 5400 m2.

Increase the airport’s capacity from 2.5 Million passengers yearly to 4.5 Million passengers yearly.

The design of a security system of C.T. at the highest level and the harmonization of the airport façade and the Tarmak rear façade with all project. .

It consist of:

  • Rehabilitating the security system of Hurghada International Airport with an area of inspecting bags by the highest level of examination by C.T. devices and (2) Loading and sorting area.
  • Increase number of tourist counters from (20) counters to (40) counters in the Check-in area.

Rehabilitation of the airport so that it can accommodate up to 100 thousand passengers instead of 50 thousand

Qualification includes the establishment of the departure and arrival halls area 1200m2 Each hall connected by suspended link bridge between the new terminal and the old one, It include addition system (finger) to facilitate passenger movement into the airport halls.

The rehabilitation design took into account that it should be compatible with what is implemented on the external facades ,so that it includes the airport as one block between the new and the existing situation.
