Arab Contractors signs contract to implement the construction work on Dar Al Hedaya Mosque in Ghana

Eng. AhmedEl Assar – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Mr. Mohamed Abdel Karim – Chairman of the Ghanaian Quarry Limited Company signed a contractfor the design, renovation, expansion and construction works of Dar Al HedayaMosque in Tamale, Republic of Ghana.

The signingceremony also witnessed the signing of an additional contract to carry out aset of expansion and development works for Dar Al Hedaya Mosque project in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, which is currently being implemented by the Arab Contractors Company.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Eng. Ahmed Al Adalany - Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohamed Elwy - Board Member, Mr. Abdul Ghani Nuhu -Managing Director of Ghanaian Quarry Limited Company, Mr. Emad Obeid -Financial Supervisor of the Africa Sector, Eng. Ahmed Mansour - Managing Director of the Ghanaian company, and Eng. Ahmed Al Deeb - Director of the Technical Support Department for Branches, Departments, and Independent Projects.

The signing of these new contracts comes within the framework of the confidence that the Arab Contractors Company enjoys with the Ghanaian side, following the delegation’s praise for the outstanding technical level and commitment to international standards in the quality of design and implementation provided by the company in Dar Al Hedaya Mosque project currently being implemented in the capital, Accra.

The projectis built on a total area of 3,300 m2, and includes the restoration of the existing mosque and the construction of new expansions to become a main mosque with a capacity of up to 1,100 worshippers, in addition to a section dedicated to women, 2 minarets 40m high inspired by the Fatimid style, along with 10 domes, an external courtyard for the entrance of the mosque, as well as areas designated for parking.

It is worth noting that the Arab Contractors Company has strengthened its presence in the Ghanaian market through a number of prominent projects, as it recently signed a contract to implement the outer ring road of Kumasi. It has also previously implemented the renovation and expansion works of Accra and Kumasi stadiums, in addition to implementing the “Weniba” road linking the capital Accra and the city of “Takoradi” on the west coast of Ghana, as well as designing and manufacturing (2) river ferries to operate on Lake Volta.
