Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar - Commander-in-Chief ofthe Libyan Arab Armed Forces, witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the Lower Wadi Al Kouf Road project, which was implemented by the Arab Contractors Company, Libya Branch, as part of supporting efforts to develop the infrastructure in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Osama Hammad -the head of the Libyan government, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar -Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Eng. Belqasim Khalifa Haftar -Director General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund of Libya, and agroup of members of the Parliament, the Senate, and tribal leaders in theregion.
For his part, Eng.Hassan Mustafa – Senior Vice Chairman ofthe Arab Contractors Company, stated that the Lower Wadi Al Kouf Road projectis the first project to be opened in the Green Mountain region, and it is one of the infrastructure and road network development projects, and it is a vitaland tourist artery in Wadi Al Kouf area in the Green Mountain.
Eng. Mubarak Mansour Mubarak - Head of the Sector in Libyabranch in Benghazi, noted that the project extends for more than 9 kilometers,in addition to the industrial works along the road route, as it extends through difficult mountainous terrain interspersed with steep slopes and rugged curves.
Eng. Al Sayed Al Shahat – Manager of Libya Benghazi Branch, explained that the project was implemented according to advanced technical specifications toresist natural factors in the region, and in accordance with the highest traffic safety standards to ensure its sustainability and raise the level of safetyfor citizens.
This project is part of a series of projects implemented by the Arab Contractors Company in cooperation with the Libyan Development andReconstruction Fund, within the framework of efforts to develop infrastructureand strengthen road networks in different regions, which contributes to supporting development plans, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, and raising the efficiency of connectivity between cities and vitalareas.
