Dr. Rania Al Mashat and the Chairman of Arab Contractors witness the signing of an agreement between the National Institute for Governance and ICEMT

Dr. Rania Al Mashat - Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, the Chairman of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of training between the Institute and Arab Contractors Company, represented by the Institute of Construction and Engineering Management Technology “ICEMT”. The agreement was signed by Dr. Sherifa Sherif - Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and Eng. Sherif Hamdy - Manager of the Institute of Construction and Engineering Management Technology. The agreement aims to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of governance and institutional development, in addition to the field of human capacity development, and other areas. In her remarks, Dr. Rania Al Mashat - Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation affirmed that the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development plays a pivotal role in capacity-building efforts and enhancing leadership skills through its various mechanisms, tools, and initiatives. The Minister pointed out that the efforts undertaken by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development are aligned with the broader framework of the Ministry operational mechanisms. These mechanisms aim to support comprehensive and sustainable development efforts by bolstering the operational mechanisms of national entities, enhancing work efficiency, and accelerating the digital transformation of government institutions through the Ministry's Spatial Information Infrastructure Center. She explained that the National Institute for Governance's efforts in capacity building and skills development align with the state's objectives to increase investment in human capital, thereby creating highly competent personnel capable of assuming leadership positions. Dr. Sherifa Sherif - Executive Director of NIGSD, affirmed that the agreement is an extension of ongoing efforts to strengthen the training and capacity-building system. She noted that the collaboration with the ICEMT opens new horizons for developing specialized training programs that meet labor market needs and keep pace with modern changes. Dr. Sherif added that the Institute is committed to supporting technical and administrative teams across Egyptian institutions through advanced training content and strategic partnerships that enhance human resource efficiency and contribute to the state’s development and good governance plans. For his part, Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, expressed his appreciation to Dr. Rania Al Mashat - Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, for her support of the agreement. He emphasized that signing the cooperation agreement with the Institute of Governance represents a significant step towards strengthening the principles of transparency and efficiency within the company. He explained that implementing governance is a strategic tool for improving performance, increasing competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable growth in government-owned companies. He noted that through this agreement, they aim to establish a practical framework for implementing best governance practices within the Arab Contractors, starting with developing policies and procedures, moving through fostering a culture of accountability, and culminating in empowering teams to make decisions based on clear criteria. Eng. El Assar added that the Institute of Governance has an ambitious vision, stressing that cooperation with the Institute will contribute to developing distinguished cadres capable of keeping pace with the latest technologies and standards, positively impact their joint projects and national development.
