Damietta Governor Inaugurates Shatt Garibah Wastewater Treatment Station

Dr. Ayman El Shehaby - Governor of Damietta, inaugurated the main wastewater treatment station project in the village of Shatt Gharibah. The project implemented by the Arab Contractors Company as part of the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage’s initiatives, serving approximately 30,000 residents of the area with an estimated cost of EGP 100 million. The opening ceremony was attended by Eng. Shaimaa El Seddiq - Deputy Governor of Damietta, Eng. Amir Saqr - Head of the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage Branch, Eng. Magdy Attallah - Head of Damietta Company for Water and Wastewater, Mr. Samir Atrees - Head of the Local Unit for Damietta Center and City; Eng. Rami Mokhtar - Manager of the North Delta Branch at the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohamed El Bendary - Project Manager, and Eng. Moustafa Ghazl - Manager of Damietta Area. The project includes a main pumping station with a 7m diameter pit, an operating chamber, security and storage facilities, generation unit, transformer bases, a fence, and the general site. It includes 4 pumps with a discharge capacity of 265 liters/second /pump, a 450 kVA power generation unit, a 380LV panel, 2 transformers with a capacity of 800 kVA each, in addition to an existing force main with a diameter of 800 mm and a length of 2.5 km, and a gravity network with a length of 12 km.
