Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Mr. Manfredi de Ovidio - Chairman of Abercrombie & Kent, signed a contract to manufacture a floating tourist hotel (Interbuild 2). This was in the presence of Mr. Amr Badr - Chairman of the company in Egypt ,Mrs. Dalia Khater- Executive Director of the company ,Eng. Hassan Ibraheem – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Osama El Dessouki – AC Executive Board Member and Head of the Manufacturing Sector, and Eng. Alaa Abdel Hamid – Manager of Massara Shipyard. The floating hotel consists of 32 suites with a total of 64 guests and operates on the Nile River between Luxor and Aswan. The main dimensions of the hotel are 72 meters long, 14.40 meters wide and 11.5 meters high. This contract represents the first phase of the construction works for the main hull, superstructures and metal fittings over a period of 18 months, under the supervision of Lloyd’s Register and in accordance with the requirements of the River Transport Authority.
