Arab Contractors wins 3 prestigious awards in the Middle East and North Africa

  The Arab Contractors Company has won 3 prestigious awards from the Middle East Construction News during the Big Project Middle East Awards ceremony, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These awards are a confirmation of the company’s leadership in implementing major projects and its positive impact on sustainable development in the region. Eng. Yassin Ahmed Hussein - Technical Affairs Manager at Dubai Branch received the awards on behalf of the company. Arab Contractors won the Large Contractor of the Year Award at the international level after strong competition with major foreign and Arab companies operating in the region. This honor comes in appreciation of the company’s outstanding work in implementing huge projects with a sustainable development impact and consolidating its role as a key partner in developing infrastructure regionally and internationally. The second award was for the Greater Cairo Monorail Project in Egypt, which won the Project of the Year – Infrastructure and Transport Award. Cairo Monorail project is the longest driverless monorail system in the world, linking Greater Cairo to the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City. The project represents a qualitative leap in modern transportation, as it contributes to improving mobility within Greater Cairo, reducing traffic congestion, and enhancing environmental sustainability by operating with clean energy with zero carbon emissions. The project is also part of Egypt’s strategy to shift towards more efficient and sustainable urban transportation, making it a model to be emulated in the Middle East and Africa region. The company also won the third award for Basrah Desalination Plant Project in Iraq, as the MEP Project of the Year. It is one of the largest water desalination projects, with a production capacity of up to 600,000 m3 /day, contributing to providing drinking water to more than 3.2 million people in Basrah. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Japanese company Hitachi and the French company OTV, and constitutes a strategic step to address the water crisis in the region by using advanced technologies based on reverse osmosis to treat water and improve the water infrastructure in Iraq. This international recognition reflects the success of Arab Contractors in implementing major infrastructure projects according to the highest international standards.
