Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held an expanded meeting to follow up on the implementation status of a number of projects undertaken by the Arab Contractors Company in a number of new cities and governorates within the presidential initiative “Decent Life” to promote work and overcome any obstacles. The meeting was attended by Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Hassan Mustafa - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors; officials from the ministry and the company; the New Urban Communities Authority; the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation; and heads of agencies in a number of new cities. During the meeting, a number of sanitation projects and treatment plants assigned to the Arab Contractors Company through the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation were reviewed, the implementation status of projects within the presidential initiative “Decent Life” was reviewed, and the projects being implemented and monitored by the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater in the governorates of Giza and Qalyubia were reviewed. The meeting discussed the status of the projects assigned to the company through the New Urban Communities Authority in the utilities sector, in 10th of Ramadan City; a number of roads and axes in 6th of October City; expansions of the wastewater treatment plant in 15th of May City; utilities networks and a 4.2 km long tourist walkway in New Mansoura City; lifting stations no. 4 and 5 and the lines linking them in the New Administrative Capital; and utilities projects in the cities of "New Tiba, Badr, Obour, Shorouk, New Alamein, and Maspero Triangle." Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny confirmed providing full support to the company to expand its projects, pointing out that the company has a large portfolio of works in Egypt and Africa and is considered one of the important arms for implementing development and growth plans in the Egyptian state through its implementation of various service and development projects. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Housing called for a significant increase in the implementation rates of the projects that the company is implementing, directing the ministry officials to follow up periodically every 15 days to ensure that the projects are completed on time and to remove any obstacles facing implementation as soon as possible, taking into consideration achieving integration between all projects.
