The Minister of Housing inspects 10th of Ramadan drinking water purification station

Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the drinking water station No. 3 in 10th of Ramadan City. He was accompanied by Eng. Hassan Mustafa - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, the Drinking Water, Sanitation and Consumer Protection Regulatory Authority (EWRA), the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), and the Chairman of the Authority. The minister followed up on the work progress in the 10th of Ramadan drinking water purification station—Phase I, with a production capacity of 600,000 m?/day, which represents a qualitative addition to the infrastructure in the city and neighbouring cities. The minister listened to a detailed explanation of the project’s implementation status from Eng. Alaa Abdel Latif - Chairman of the 10th of Ramadan Authority, who explained that the project includes strategic groundwater tanks, 2 ground tanks with a capacity of 45,000 m? each, which ensures the continuity of water supply in emergency situations, and a filtered water pump building, noting that the station supplies the cities of 10th of Ramadan, Badr, Hadayek Al Assima, and the New Administrative Capital. The project aims to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and meet the needs of sustainable urban development. The minister also inspected the expansions of the drinking water station in 10th of Ramadan—Phase II, with a capacity of 600,000 m?/day, to increase the production capacity of Water Station No. 3 from 600,000 m?/day to a capacity of 1.2 million m?/day, to supply residential districts in 10th of Ramadan (1-2-3-4), supply the PSE station in Badr City, and the fifth and sixth phases in 10th of Ramadan. During his inspecting visit, the minister directed the head of the authority to follow up regularly to speed up the pace of work to complete the project according to the specified time schedule and provide the necessary infrastructure to support the comprehensive development in the city.
